CLOSED FOR THE SEASON !

A HUGE THANK YOU TO ALL OUR LOVELY CUSTOMERS FOR YOUR SUPPORT THIS SEASON. THE WEATHER WAS DIFFICULT THIS YEAR.. FROSTS IN APRIL THAT DESTROYED STRAWBERRY AND CHERRY BLOSSOM, A COLD MAY DELAYED STRAWBERRY RIPENING, STRONG WINDS BURNT THE RASPBERRY LEAVES AND THEN THE RAINS FOLLOWED BY A HEAT WAVE!

DESPITE IT ALL YOU CAME AND WE HAD A LOVELY TIME. THE SHOP WAS  GREAT SUCCESS WITH CAKES FROM ESME AND BREAD FROM JENNINGS AND A MASSIVE RANGE OF CHEESES, TO LIST JUST A FEW. ITS BEEN A FACINATING ADVENTURE INTO THE WORLD OF RETAIL WHICH WE ENJOYED IMMENSLEY.

NOW TO PREPARE FOR PUMPINS IN OCTOBER AND CHRISTMAS TREES IN ...WELL YOU KNOW WHEN!!

HAVE A GREAT REST OF THE SUMMER AND LETS HOPE THE WEATHER IS KIND.

Handy tips on preserving and bottling fruit

http://www.pickyourownfarms.org.uk/preserving_and_bottling.php

Strawberries have been grown on Goodall land in Lymington for over 100 years. In 1912 Herbert Goodall started producing strawberries on his mixed family farm.

Herbert Goodall

Alan Goodall

Herbert's son Alan took over the farm in the 1950s where he expanded into strawberry runners. Delivering strawberries around the country as far as Scotland, by train.

Brian Goodall

Now Brian runs the farm and has developed the business to include a wider range of fruit and vegetables and a small family run seasonal shop. And of course the ever popular LYMINGTON GOLF CENTRE, to be found right next to the fruit farm and NEW FOREST ADVENTURE GOLF right next door. http://www.lymingtongolfcentre.com
